Hebron Beads (Palestine)
Also known as ‘Kano’ beads are wound beads from Hebron, Palestine. From the beginning of the 19th Century, made by using salts from the Dead Sea. Most common colour is a dusty yellow, less common is green, blue and very rarely black. A popular collector’s item, especially for their history of traveling from Egypt to Sudan and Kano, Nigeria as well as other African countries.
